MoleHill Publishing

MoleHill is a Carolina's based publishing group dedicated to creating & selling calendars for charity. Rodger from MoleHill approached me about creating a website that would showcase their upcoming calendars and allow people to pre-order/order. During production we also added an area where MoleHill could post a "Behind the Scenes" look at creating the calendars. Lastly we added in a generic Contact Form, a Partner's Link (to showcase other who gave their time or support in creating the calendars) and general About information.

Off-line The Movie

Off-Line The Movie was currently in pre-production with very little information available to the public. Forever Young Productions requested a website that would generate interest and allow them to run contests for people. The contests require people to submit contact and personal information along with a headshot - the second contest requires people to submit contact and personal information along with a document and or images for story-lines.

Additional design requests were a movie poster and downloadable wallpaper.

I was also in charge of Forever Young Productions hosting and domain management and was able to save them a considerable amount by consolidating hosting accounts and setting up domain subs and aliases.

C.L. Hartley is an author who primarily sells novels online through Amazon - I was commissioned to create a website that would highlight the current novels for sale as well as past books, along with links to purchase.

A slider on the homepage rotates through the most current book for sale. The book listing has a special mouse-over feature to allow the user to see both the front and upon mouse-over the back of the book.

Hungry-Naruto.com

Hungry-Naruto.com was a community anime fan site dedicated to the Japanese anime Naruto back in mid 2000 before the series came to America. The site started out as a pure HTML with no features and a very poor interface. I joined the staff of Hungry-Naruto and redesigned / redeveloped the site using PHP for a more robust user experience. After a few months and a much larger community base we added more features; including a forum and member's area. After the redesign we saw a 75% increase in traffic and subscribed members.

Pageland Chamber of Commerce

Contracted to create a new design and layout for current Pageland Chamber of Commerce website. Requests were to make the website easy to navigate for users and the ability to easily update the site with little to no HTML or coding experience.

Website Engine
Because the person maintaining the website had no prior experience in website coding it was decided that the Chamber site would run on some kind of Content Management System. Wordpress - althought a blog cms - is one of the easiest to use CMS for a user of any level. Therefore the website was developed with a Wordpress engine to make updating the site easy for all staff.

Design & Display
Pageland wanted to achieve a more community active website with current events listings and articles of business and news. With this in mind the frontpage was designed so they could display a carousel of articles at the top, then 3 blocks of static categories, and lastly events & calendar.

Add-ons
Calendar - used a calendar add-on from the Wordpress exchange. Gives them the ability to create new events and have them automatically display within the site on the front page and large calendar. Business Directory - because the Chamber is made up of so many local businesses they needed a feature to display members with contact info. Using a Business Directory from the exchange I edited the core process to display only the most basic info and allow for new fields not previously available. Weather Add-On - using an API, included a weather widget on the frontpage.

MSB Marketing

MSB Marketing was a Charlotte based marketing company that contracted me to design a logo and 8-page website to display their company information and achievements. The site is purely HTML and CSS driven with no scripts or additional features.

Arrant Destiny MUD

Arrant Destiny is a MUD (Multi-User Dungeon, Domain or Dimension) dating back to 1996 and still running. I setup a Drupal content management system for the website. Using a pre-made template I reconfigured several aspects of the css and template functionality. Being a Drupal site, it has several functions, including; user login, custom administrative logins and privileges, custom profile system so players can setup character and personal profiles, forums, and custom instant messaging system. The logo was slightly altered from the original template to fit their specific needs.

Fee Ninja

Cruisedeals.com was running a new 'No Fee' promotion. They were looking to create a Ninja character to act as the Fee Ninja. The character was drawn up by the cruisedeals staff, then using photoshop I converted to a digital logo. The images below show the handdrawn sketch and completed design.
